Tips On Wearing The Navy Double Breasted Jacket

The Navy Double Breasted Jacket has become my favorite go to piece in my wardrobe. It has transformed into a uniform for me. I’ve pondered why I love it so much. Here are a few reasons: It has to do with its versatility as a garment. It goes well with almost everything in my wardrobe. I can dress it up and look formal. I can also dress it down with sneakers and a Henley/V-Neck shirt. On the footwear side, you should go with minimal sneakers. A pair of Stan Smith’s or Common Projects are a perfect match.

The Double Breasted Jacket gives it a casual, yet more elevated look. You tend to look and feel elegant in both. I personally like the look of formality; it works for me. In the end, I rather be overdressed than underdressed.

This particular one I own is by Suit Supply . I decided to purchase it from Suit Supply since the size fit off the rack and needed no alterations. I did change the buttons to give it an extra detail. The real reason why I invested in this piece - was due to as we say in Spanish - it was “Bueno, Bonito y Barato” which means it was Good, Beautiful & Affordable.

Here are a few photos of how I wore my go to piece.

One way I enjoy wearing the Double breasted Jacket is on a flight. It elevates your look in a space where people have lost their sense of occasion and are comfortable in garments that are deemed to casual. When I’m on a flight.  I like to dress for the occasion of traveling. Wearing an Oxford button down shirt. The jacket is a good throw on especially since airplanes are cold. When you look good you feel good.
